Erzulie is a family of loa, or spirits in Vodou. Erzulie Fréda Dahomey, [Mater Doloresa] the Rada aspect of Erzulie, is the Haitian African spirit of love, beauty, jewelry, dancing, luxury, and flowers. She wears three wedding rings, one for each husband - Damballa, Agwe and Ogoun. Her symbol is a heart, her colours are pink, blue, white and gold, and her favourite sacrifices include jewellery, perfume, sweet cakes and liqueurs. Coquettish and very fond of beauty and finery. She is conceived of as never able to attain her heart's most fervent desire. For this reason she always leaves a service in tears. Her syncretic iconographical depiction is usually based on that of the Virgin and Child, Yoruba, she relates to the Yoruba Vodu goddess of Erotic Love, Gold and Femininity.

Setting of Lights
Setting Lights is just another service offered by Lady Ophelia. The setting of lights entails the burning of a fixed Vigil-Candle on top of a client’s petition for a period of 2 to 3 days, however long it takes for a candle to burn down. When you engage me to set lights for you, I will ritually prepare a Vigil Light in accordance with traditional techniques and for your specific issue, condition, or situation. Your light will be set the morning after image.

A setting of lights involves fixing (anointing) candles with oils, powders and herbs and then lighting them with a petition (a desire / goal / something needed written on paper) and then burned over a space of time. We work with the Saints, Angels and the Ancestors for altar candle services setting of lights.

PICTURES AND PETITIONS
Bell, Book & Flame, we encourage the use of photographs and full names on every candle we light. If you are not already a regular client, with electronic photos on file, please attach them in an email and send to psychicreader895 [!at] yahoo.com. Please include photos of ALL individuals involved and name the files with the subjects' full names. When setting candles, we pray freely as guided by Spirit, using any petition which you provide. You may send your full backstory via email in addition to providing a shorter petition in the text box provided. This shorter petition will allow you to focus your intent, so please do not take the exercise lightly!

Once I receive the order, the client is emailed a confirmation as soon as possible explaining that their candle will be lit the following day and to expect their report in 7-10 days. The reason for this is simple. I have a day job and am not home 24 hours a day to start candles the same day. If someone orders a candle at 2:00 am on a Tuesday I am sleeping. I will generally send them a confirmation that morning when I wake up. However, I do not have time to go through my process that day. Their candle will be prepared that evening when I return from work and lit the following morning.
